Role Profile Job title Senior Treasury Business Analyst Department Capital Markets , Treasury IT Reports to Head of Treasury IT Brief Description of role, Overall job objective The candidate will fulfil the role as a senior business analyst involved in the Core Treasury operations within Capital Markets with focus on Money Market and FX. The candidate will be responsible for driving change with the business and be part of a key enablement pillar to the eCommerce offering within Capital Markets. Number of direct reports None Number of indirect reports Part of a bigger core team, multiple touch points across business units as well as across full spectrum of IT Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities (and time split) � Business engagement 20% � Specification writing 35% � Effective JAD sessions 5% � Assisting in reaching Core Treasury team vision alongside team 5% � Assisting in projects across Core Treasury 20% � Assisting in key business production issues 15% Education, skills and specialist knowledge required � IT or Business qualification with emphasis on Finance � An in-depth understanding of financial instruments, especially Money Market Corporate Treasury and foreign exchange being an advantage. � Ability to interpret and write basic SQL. � Minimum 5 years related experience required, 7 years preferred in various aspects of Treasury and or trading fields of Capital Markets. Other requirements specific to the role/Individual�s core competencies � Good understanding of treasury processes in each of the areas from front, middle and back office. � Experience on treasury systems e.g. Murex, Calypso, Wallstreet, Front Arena � An understanding of treasury accounting � An understanding of IT and project methodologies. � Analytical ability to problem solve and provide suggestions on treasury issues Personal Attributes � Ability to multi-task and prioritise and deliver to milestones � Ability to interact with people from all areas of treasury � Take ownership of tasks assigned � Customer focused attitude � Team player and good interpersonal and communication skills � Follow issues/concerns through to delivery/solution � Analytically minded with excellent problem solving skills � Assertive, contributor to discussions, collaborative approach � Attention to detail and ability to bring this through in all work done personally and in the team � Ability to use practical knowledge in difficult times to back testing theory � Ability to work and perform in an unstructured environment � Ability to deal with pressure and remain level headed � Ability to prioritize multiple tasks across multiple projects and leverage off of the team for best result |
